Winemaker Notes This wine is a blend of the two vineyards and two styles. The Rita's Crown chardonnay was kept in stainless steel with no secondary fermentation. The stainless steel process highlights the natural fruit flavors. The Radian lot was processed through malolactic fermentation to produce the softer feel that comes from the conversion of malic to lactic acid in this secondary fermentation step. The wine was aged in oak for 18 months, with 20% new oak. The combination yields a well-balanced, sophisticated white wine that exhibits a floral nose, fresh citrus flavors with a kick of acidity and a vanilla note at the finish.
