Fruit The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec are all sourced from a single vineyard in the Los Olivos District AVA in Santa Barbara County. The Petit Verdot is from the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA.
Winemaking This Bordeaux-style blend is our first foray into the world of Cabernet. The bottling is classically composed of five noble grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The blend was cold soaked for several days to extract color and flavor from the skins, co-fermented in an open-top bin with gentle punch downs until fully dry, and pressed to a single barrel.
What's It Like? This a medium weight red with nicely balanced fruit. It delivers round, dark berry flavors in a soft glove.
